This is a perfect spring hike, high above the Ghost River valley, with aspens in their brightest green, spring wildflowers and beautiful, far views in three directions. It’s an amazing hike less than an hour’s drive from NW Calgary.

By joining you will be supporting AWA and at the same time have a chance to explore a less well-known area of the Ghost River watershed.

This is a medium-difficulty hike with some steep uphill and downhill sections. Distance about 8 – 10 km and elevation gain about 200 m.

Bring good hiking boots, rain gear, bug spray and a light lunch. Because we will be in the mountains and weather conditions can change quickly and without warning, please ensure you have appropriate gear for any weather. As always please bring your own hand sanitizer and face coverings.

Meeting point is about 50 km west of Cochrane, with about 5 km on bad gravel (we could carpool). Time and exact location will be given to participants several days in advance of the Adventure.
