The hike is 8.2km in length with 479m (1570 ft) elevation gain. We will take approximately 3 to 4 hours with lots of time to sit at the top.
We will observe COVID-19 precautions and guidance from the Government of Alberta and expect
participants to follow appropriate sanitizing and social distancing. We thank you for your understanding
and cooperation! If you need more details you can check the Government website at:
this link.
Please bring a personal mask and your own hand sanitizer.
Thank you for joining us for this exceptional day out in one of Alberta’s truly wonderful Wild Spaces
— we look forward to meeting you there!
From Indan Oils trailhead approximaately 25 min west of Turner Valley on Hwy 546, cross the Sheep River and hike along the old logging road to a cairn which marks the start of a trail leading up to the top. There is one steep section and one tree blowdown area where you must pick your way through the tangle, but the views from the top are worth it.
Views west show Gilbraltar, Mist ridge and Mt Rae.
Views east are of Junction Mtn.
