How to “Run for Wilderness” virtually...
Mentally PREPARE - map out a route that will take you less than one hour to complete
Set up an AID STATION with water, snacks, bandaids, rollers...
Gather fellow PARTICIPANTS and SUPPORTERS in a continuous virtual meeting
Check-in after every lap to CHEER each other on
RUN (or walk) your ROUTE!

Starting at 8:30 AM:
The goal is to complete a lap and take a break within an hour then start running again on each half-hour mark.
(i.e. lap 1 starts at 8:30AM (MST), lap 2 starts at 9:30AM (MST) etc.)
If you tune into the virtual meeting at 9:20 for example, there's a good chance someone will be taking their break and getting ready for their next lap.
- The virtual meeting will be connected continuously as long as people are still running so you're welcome to carry your phone with you and chat with people while you run but that's totally up to you.
- Not everyone needs to start at 8:30AM (MST). We'll be doing this for at least six hours so feel free to jump in at whatever time works for you!
We will observe COVID-19 precautions and guidance from Alberta and expect participants to follow appropriate sanitizing and social distancing. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
